The Global Banking Alliance for Women (GBA) aims to create a global community where Financial Institutions of all shapes and sizes can come together.
By sharing best practices initiatives in the delivery of financial services to women., the GBA will be instrumental in supporting the growth of women's economic empowerment around the world. Now more than ever, with the Global Financial Crisis, women in banking will play an important role in re-establishing confidence and trust in the banking sector.
The GBA Annual Summit was held in London in October 2008, sponsored by Bank of Scotland and the International Finance Corporation and it was a fantastic opportunity for member organisations from around the world to share experiences, information and ideas that can, cost effectively and efficiently, help support a focus on supporting, developing and connecting female entrepreneurs on a global basis.
Having Chaired the organisation for the past 2 years, Bank of Scotland's Clare Logie handed over responsibilities to Larke Reimer, Head of Women's Markets for Westpac in Australia, who will drive forward the next stages of growth and development for the organisation.
