Bank of Scotland offers competitive rates of exchange, 0% commission on travellers cheques* or notes, and several ways to pay.

Travellers cheques

Accepted all over the world, American Express Travellers Cheques, available in a wide range of currencies, are one of the safest ways to carry money. If lost or stolen, they can usually be replaced within 24 hours.

Foreign currency

When travelling on business, we'd always recommend taking some foreign currency with you for immediate spending needs, such as taxis and tips. We supply cash in a wide range of currencies.

How to order

You can order through your local branch or, if you're a Bank of Scotland registered user, you can use our 24-hour Telephone Banking ordering service.

Orders placed before 3pm will be available for next-day collection after 1pm**, from most Bank of Scotland branches. Alternatively, your currency can be delivered direct to your UK business address for a fee of £5.

Payment

If you're already a Bank of Scotland customer, you can pay directly from your Bank of Scotland account or use your Bank of Scotland Corporate Card - a cash advance fee will apply (2% minimum £2).

Commission charges

• Sales: sterling travellers cheques – £1.50 per £100, minimum £3, no maximum.
• Re-purchase: we'll buy back any unused travel money, free of charge.
