Iain Stewart is Group Finance Director of one of the UK's leading furniture retailers, which has been designing, manufacturing and selling high quality furniture for almost 40 years.

In recent years, it has reduced its UK manufacturing operations and is now mostly importing finished suites and dining room furniture manufactured from China for sale in domestic markets here.

We switched to Bank of Scotland from another bank three years ago and we've found them very accommodating and very innovative with some of their products. Where I find them particularly proactive is that they know what my account is showing on a day-by-day basis, they know my exposure and they'll come to me and suggest various options to take advantage of their expertise.

I also find that the joint relationship between Treasury and Corporate is pretty important. They work in harmony and both know our business inside out. They work with us; they understand any potential expansion plans and the vagaries of the market.
